We're delighted to announce that M Squared has been awarded first place in the Metis IP100, the UK’s intellectual property league table, for the second consecutive year. This year, we have significantly increased our patents by more than 170% with the total number of individual patents rising to over 380. However, the IP League Table ranking process extends beyond patents alone and incorporates several IP assets that typically underpin highly successful businesses and create effective and robust barriers to entry. As well as being ranked first overall, M Squared was top of the Brand and Reputation category. Our CEO and Founder, Dr Graeme Malcolm OBE commented, "We are proud to have scored so well in the IP100’s most competitive IP asset class." M Squared has also been recognised for its work on Critical Databases, Software and Trade Secrets as part of this award. IP assets are the foundation of our competitive advantage and have facilitated M Squared’s rapid growth and ability to work as part of international collaborations. At M Squared, we always strive to push the boundaries of technology and sustain a culture of innovation. We are delighted to receive recognition for our IP-led policies that are at the heart of our business model. Dr Graeme Malcolm OBE said: “It is so rewarding to be recognised for our contribution to innovation within the private sector. Robust IP strategies are essential so that innovative businesses can mitigate risk and thrive in today’s high-tech economy. We are excited about the future and look forward to expanding on the commercial applications for our discoveries.” Following The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track ‘Best Use of IP’ Award late last year, we’re delighted to be continuing working at the cutting edge of science that is enabling breakthroughs in many fields, from quantum to life sciences.’ See the full list of rankings on the Metis Partners website Read the special IP100 report
