Awarded first place in the Metis IP 100, the UK's intellectual property league table, for the third consecutive year. The award is the UK's only award ranking SME intellectual property asset strength. M Squared topped the annual ranking of companies based on its IP asset strength and track record in exploiting IP.

M Squared named a winner in The Telegraph's 2020 Tech for Good Award in its introductory year. The award recognised the positive impact that technology can have in society and the economy and highlighted those companies making a positive social difference.

Entrants from across the country were narrowed to a shortlist of 10, which included companies with a huge range of ambitious goals from addressing climate change, to democratising data gathering in space, helping to reduce hand tremors, or developing sustainable housing. The Telegraph said:

Used by over 200 organisations in 30 countries, SolsTiS represents a step-change in Titanium:Sapphire laser technology. Playing a fundamental role in tackling climate change, SolsTiS was used to calibrate Tropomi, the spectrometer onboard the European Space Agency's Sentinel 5P satellite. In healthcare, the applications of this precision light allow progress in the non-invasive study of cancers and degenerative diseases including dementia, motor neurone disease and Parkinson's. SolsTiS is so precise that it is

Members of The Manufacturer Top 100 2017 and the wider manufacturing community came together at an exclusive event in Liverpool to celebrate the launch of this year’s report.
