Awarded first place in the Metis IP 100, the UK's intellectual property league table, for the third consecutive year. The award is the UK's only award ranking SME intellectual property asset strength. M Squared topped the annual ranking of companies based on its IP asset strength and track record in exploiting IP.

M Squared named a winner in The Telegraph's 2020 Tech for Good Award in its introductory year. The award recognised the positive impact that technology can have in society and the economy and highlighted those companies making a positive social difference.

M Squared was a finalist in the 2019 Royal Academy of Engineering's prestigious MacRobert Award. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the MacRobert Award is the UK's longest-running and most highly regarded engineering prize representing the best of UK engineering and innovation.

Playing a fundamental role in tackling climate change, SolsTiS was used to calibrate Tropomi, the spectrometer onboard the European Space Agency's Sentinel 5P satellite. In healthcare, the applications of this precision light allow progress in the non-invasive study of cancers and degenerative diseases including dementia, motor neurone disease and Parkinson's.
