We're delighted to be sponsoring and exhibiting at Fundamental Optical Processes in Semiconductors (FOPS) 2017, Stevenson, WA, the USA starting on 27 August 2017.
Fundamental optical processes in semiconductors (FOPS) are of central importance for both basic science and applications. The field provides the foundation for semiconductor optoelectronics and photonics by addressing fundamental problems. As such, it encompasses enabling technologies for future-generation devices; advances in technology, materials growth, measurement techniques and understanding of quantum-optical/many-body phenomena continue to stimulate great activity in the field. The topics of the conference constantly evolve to reflect the most recent developments of optical and condensed matter physics.
The format of FOPS meetings is by design unusual, but it is similar to the well-known Gordon conferences. Specifically, all talks are invited and contributed papers are given in posters. The talks are limited to 25 minutes, and there is additional time for general discussions.
FOPS meetings are held in locations noted for their beauty and, apart from nature, a lack of distractions. This format is intended to foster debate and a broad discussion of future directions as well as current results.
We are delighted to be sponsoring the drinks at the conference banquet, which takes place from 6.30 – 9 pm on Thursday 31st August. You can also see us throughout the week in the exhibition area.
The conference runs from 27 August to 01 September and exhibition runs from 28 August to 01 September 2017.
