Simon’s military background and business experience have given him a clear focus on people, delivery, process and control - critical skills for an effective Chief Operating Officer.

With over 20 years of service in the Royal Air Force, Simon has built core skills in leadership, strategy development and planning, as well as gained first-hand experience in successfully executing complex plans in combat situations.

Simon has used his skills to introduce and sharpen process and reporting, enhance our Agile delivery framework, and crucially put our people at the centre of our business growth.

After leaving the military, Simon spent time with Amazon on their MBA programme. He saw how vital an appropriate process and precise reporting is in allowing a business to scale and effectively control its growth. Simon moved onto the technology sector where he grew a mobile software company from start-up to the point of acquisition, as well as becoming experienced with Agile methodology.

Since joining M Squared, Simon has used his skills to introduce and sharpen process and reporting, enhance our Agile delivery framework, and crucially put our people at the centre of our business growth. Simon understands that the key to real operational success is bringing together disparate specialised skillsets to form unified high-performing teams with a clear sense of purpose and the organisational support to drive this.

Simon has often remarked that his job is made easier by the fact that M Squared has attracted and retained individuals who share the same philosophy about what makes a great team.
